Kara Mease

Owner

A lover of all things DIY, Kara’s passion for design, decor and teaching others is encompassed through her devotion and skill at the RWP. Kara takes a personal approach for creating the ideal product. A natural curator, Kara focuses on meeting each client’s unique requests.

She’s a fun, free-spirited, go-getter, who enjoys collaborating with others. Her late parents, Tom and Diane, had always embraced her keen interest in all things DIY while growing up. Whether taking a trip to the Art & Drafting store to buy oil pastels or constructing a makeshift garden box for her mom’s vegetable garden, Kara’s continuous ambition is recognized in all that she does today.

Kara is a wife to Dale, a mom of two adventurous and sport-driven boys, and a second grade teacher in the community. Born and raised in Bethlehem, Kara is a graduate of Freedom High School. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Moravian College and a M.Ed. from Wilkes University. While not working, you can find Kara spending time with her family and friends, attending her boys’ sporting events, decorating her home, cooking, and immersing herself in the “foodie” world. She considers herself a life-long learner that will continue to enlighten others.

Nickie-Jo Breiner

Owner

New to the DIY scene, Nickie-Jo has jumped in with both feet and has researched enormously through hands on experience, blogs, and YouTube to gain knowledge on the nuts and bolts of rustic décor woodworking. In doing so, she has constructed many pieces thus far that are imaginative and fun, but has also drummed up a plethora of ideas for future projects that she is eager to explore with her partners and friends. She has the passion and drive to expand the boundaries of where The Rustic Wood Project is starting from, to where and what it will continue to grow into.

Nickie-Jo has an exceptional eye that is coupled with her love to teach others that will benefit those who will join in on the fun at The Rustic Wood Project. Nickie-Jo has an upbeat personality and pushes the limitations when creating unique personal pieces that our clients will be sure to love which can personalize to suite their tastes.

Nickie-Jo is married to her best friend, Joe and they have two amazing, very active children. Once an educator, Nickie-Jo now loves her career as a dental hygienist and loves working with people. Born and raised in Phillipsburg NJ, she graduated from Phillipsburg High School, then attended Kutztown University and graduated from DeSales University and Northampton Community College. When Nickie-Jo is not working with her patients, you will find her at an athletic field or arena either coaching or cheering on her children in their sports, or volunteering at their school where she active in the PTA. Giving back and helping the school and the community are very important to her. Spending quality time with her family, friends, and dog is of the utmost priority for her.

Lisa Davis

Owner

Lisa has an appreciation for the “rustic,” country style home décor and is excited to be a part of our friend built business of The Rustic Wood Project. Lisa has a distinct eye for detail and enjoys decorating and inspiring new pieces. She is eager to teach our new customers how to construct, design and stain wood décor that inspires them most!

Lisa is a wife to Eric Davis and devoted mother to her children, including her two pups! She is a resident of the Bethlehem community, but born and raised in Berwick, PA. Upon graduating from Berwick Area High School, Lisa attended Northampton Community College. She is pursuing a career in Real Estate. Her goal is to be a successful business owner, as well as to dominate the real estate world!

Lisa volunteers at her children’s school through the PTA, and holds a current office position for 2019-2020 school year. When she is not shuttling her children to their various sports and extracurricular activities, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. They make memories through their family vacations, trips and cookouts.
